August 22-23, 2019. The first meeting of the new International Academic Council of Novosibirsk State University (NSU) took place at the Academic Town of SB RAS. Today, the council includes major scientists from leading European countries, the United States, Japan and Russia. Chief Scientist of the Geophysical Center RAS Academician A. D. Gvishiani has also joined the new council.

April 25, 2024. On April 23, 2024, Chief Scientist of the GC RAS, Academician of RAS Alexey Gvishiani and Director of the GC RAS, Corresponding Member of RAS Anatoly Soloviev took part in an event in honor of the 50th anniversary of the beginning of the construction of the Baikal-Amur Mainline.

April 24, 2024. On April 23, 2024, the Presidium of RAS unanimously supported the decision of the expert commission of RAS to award the Golitsyn Prize to Chief Scientist of the GC RAS, Academician of RAS Alexey Gvishiani and Director of the GC RAS, Corresponding Member of RAS Anatoly Soloviev.
