March 21, 2024. On March 21, 2024, a regular meeting of the Scientific Council was held at the Geophysical Center of RAS.

The Scientific Council discussed the issues of organizing the election of the director of the GC RAS. The Scientific Council approved the members of the election commission, which would organize the elections. The voting date of April 12 was approved.

The Scientific Council nominated staff members of the Geophysical Center of RAS for awards from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation in connection with the 70th anniversary of the GC RAS.

Deputy Director for Science D.Sc. Boris Dzeboev spoke about research plans for 2025–2027.

Other issues were also considered.

April 19, 2024. The International Conference "Data Science, Geoinformatics and Systems Analysis in Geosciences" will be held on September 25-27, 2024 in Suzdal (Vladimir Oblast). The event is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Geophysical Center of RAS and the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

April 10, 2024. The RSF supported the project of the GC RAS "Determination of the Spatial and Temporal Structure of the Earth's Magnetic Field in the Vicinity of Geomagnetic Observatories of the Russian Federation with the Use of UAVs".

April 5, 2024. Deputy Director for Science of the GC RAS D.Sc. Boris Dzeboev took part in the V. P. Fyodorov Arctic Seminar.

March 27, 2024. On March 27, 2024, at the Scientific Seminar of the GC RAS, Research Scientist of the Schmidt Institute of Physics of the Earth of RAS Yevgeny Fattakhov presented his report "Development of Methods for Long-term Series Analysis of Geodeformation Observations in Seismically Active and Oil and Gas Bearing Regions" (based on his PhD thesis).
