February 8, 2024. On this solemn day, we celebrate the Day of Russian Science and 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences. On February 8, 1724, according to the new style, the institution was founded by a decree of the Governing Senate. For 300 years, the scientists of the Academy have been working for the benefit of Russian science.

«The Russian Academy of Sciences has always been together with the state and has done everything possible to find worthy answers to the challenges that our country faced,» – President of RAS Academician of RAS Gennady Krasnikov said in his congratulation speech.

April 25, 2024. On April 23, 2024, Chief Scientist of the GC RAS, Academician of RAS Alexey Gvishiani and Director of the GC RAS, Corresponding Member of RAS Anatoly Soloviev took part in an event in honor of the 50th anniversary of the beginning of the construction of the Baikal-Amur Mainline.

April 24, 2024. On April 23, 2024, the Presidium of RAS unanimously supported the decision of the expert commission of RAS to award the Golitsyn Prize to Chief Scientist of the GC RAS, Academician of RAS Alexey Gvishiani and Director of the GC RAS, Corresponding Member of RAS Anatoly Soloviev.
