June 10, 202. On June 10, 2026, the 97th meeting of the Scientific Council of the Geophysical Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences took place, chaired by the Chief Scientist, Academician of RAS Alexey Gvishiani.

PhD Roman Krasnoperov, Scientific Secretary, and the Junior Research Scientist Olga Shevaldysheva reported on publication activity and the results of intellectual activity.

The Director, Corresponding Member of RAS Anatoly Soloviev presented a new project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia within the framework of cooperation with CIS countries.

The Chief of the Laboratory of the Geophysical Monitoring, PhD Dmitry Kudin spoke about the development of the network of geomagnetic observatories in Russia and nearby countries.

A report on the expeditionary activities of the GC RAS was delivered by Corresponding Member of RAS Viktor Tatarinov, Deputy Director for Science and Chief of the Laboratory of Geodynamics.

The meeting concluded with a discussion of key events from the General Meeting of RAS Members and other issues.
