October 2, 2026. On September 29, the defense of Artyom Kamaev, Junior Research Scientist at the Laboratory of Geoinformatics and the Arctic Big Data at the GC RAS, was successfully held.

The topic of the dissertation is "Development of a Method for Structural-Tectonic Mapping of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation Based on Interpretation of Satellite Imagery" (specialty "Geoinformatics, Cartography"). The defense took place at the MISIS University of Science and Technology.

The scientific supervisor was Corresponding Member of RAS Viktor Tatarinov, Deputy Director for Science at the GC RAS.
