May 25, 2018. A meeting of representatives of industrial enterprises and companies of the IT industry of the Tyumen region with representatives of PJSC "Novatek" was held in Tyumen. The meeting was organized by the Department for Investment Policy and State Support of Entrepreneurship of the Tyumen Region. The meeting was devoted to cooperation and interaction with PJSC Novatek and its subsidiaries in the implementation of major projects for the extraction of natural gas in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation, such as Yamal LNG (Yamal peninsula, Sabetta settlement), Arctic LNG (Gydansky peninsula) and others.

Researchers of GCRAS were invited to take part in this meeting. Senior research scientist of the laboratory of geoinformatics and geomagnetic studies R. Krasnoperov made a presentation on the implementation of the joint project of GC RAS and the Schlumberger company on the deployment of the first high-latitude geomagnetic observatory of the international standard INTERMAGNET in Sabetta.
