Chief Scientist of GC RAS, Academician A. D. Gvishiani was awarded the honorary title «Honorary Worker of Science and High Technologies of the Russian Federation» for significant achievements in the field of science and many years of conscientious work. This decree was signed on April 19, 2021 by the Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation P. A. Kucherenko.

The honorary title is awarded for merits, achievements and (or) conscientious work in the field of science, R&D and innovative activities, nanotechnology, development of federal centers of science and high technologies, state scientific centers and science cities, intellectual property.

On March 27, 2024, at the Scientific Seminar of the GC RAS, Research Scientist of the Schmidt Institute of Physics of the Earth of RAS Yevgeny Fattakhov presented his report "Development of Methods for Long-term Series Analysis of Geodeformation Observations in Seismically Active and Oil and Gas Bearing Regions" (based on his PhD thesis).

March 27, 2024. On March 26, 2024, at a meeting of the Bureau of the Department of Earth Sciences of RAS, Director of the Geophysical Center of RAS Corresponding Member of RAS Anatoly Soloviev was awarded the Medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" 2nd grade.
