On May 25, 2021, at the test site in Mikhnevo (Moscow Region), researchers from GC RAS detected several magnetic anomalies.

The Mikhnevo Geophysical Observatory, founded by the IDG RAS, is located 80 km south of Moscow. It studies the mechanisms of interrelated disturbances in the inner and outer geospheres of the Earth.

The research of GC RAS this week was aimed at finding and identifying sources of noise and interference in the buildings of the observatory. Maps of the anomalous component of the Earth’s magnetic field vector were built. Recommendations for the prompt elimination of interference are given. Senior researcher, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences Roman Viktorovich Sidorov was the leader of the working group.
