October 11, 2023. On October 11, 2023, a scientific seminar of the GC RAS took place. Senior Research Engineer at the Skolkovo Institute of Technology, Cand. Sc. T. A. Grigoriev presented a report on the topic «Forecasting the ice situation in the Arctic using machine learning methods.»

The seminar was held within the framework of the Scientific Council for the Study of the Arctic and Antarctic under the guidance of Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Arctic and Antarctic Academician of the RAS A. D. Gvishiani.

April 25, 2024. On April 23, 2024, Chief Scientist of the GC RAS, Academician of RAS Alexey Gvishiani and Director of the GC RAS, Corresponding Member of RAS Anatoly Soloviev took part in an event in honor of the 50th anniversary of the beginning of the construction of the Baikal-Amur Mainline.

April 24, 2024. On April 23, 2024, the Presidium of RAS unanimously supported the decision of the expert commission of RAS to award the Golitsyn Prize to Chief Scientist of the GC RAS, Academician of RAS Alexey Gvishiani and Director of the GC RAS, Corresponding Member of RAS Anatoly Soloviev.
