February 15, 2024. Principal Research Scientist D.Sc., Academician of RAS Igor Sheremet was elected an Honorary Member of the Chinese Computer Federation.

The organization was founded in 1962 to promote education and computer science. Today it unites specialists from all over the world, conducts scientific events, as well as organizes olympiads and educational projects.

November 13, 2024. On November 13, 2024, during a joint Scientific Seminar of the GC RAS and the Scientific Council of RAS for the Studies of the Arctic and Antarctic, PhD Zhanna Vasilyeva made a report "On the Use of Satellite Data in Developing Tools for Regulating Access to Arctic Waters".

November 11, 2024. On November 6–7, 2024, young scientists of the GC RAS took part in the Scientific Conference of Young Scientists and Graduate Students of the IPE RAS 2024.

November 8, 2024. The Presidium of RAS approved the new composition of the Scientific Council of RAS for the Studies of the Arctic and Antarctic. It included scientists of the Geophysical Center RAS.
