June 24, 2024. On June 24, 2024, a meeting of the Scientific Council of RAS for the Studies of the Arctic and Antarctic began in Arkhangelsk at the Northern (Arctic) Federal University. The meeting was opened by Vice-President of RAS Academician of RAS Sergey Chernyshev.

Chief Scientist of the GC RAS Academician of RAS Alexey Gvishiani, the chairman of the council, is presenting the report "The Research of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation in 2022–24 and the Scientific Council of RAS for the Studies of the Arctic and Antarctic".
