June 18, 2019. Minister of Science and Higher Education M.M. Kotyukov signed Order No. 20-3 / 311 on the appointment of Corr. Member of RAS Anatoly Alexandrovich Soloviev Director of the Geophysical Center of RAS from June 18, 2019 to June 17, 2024, for a period of five years.

The institute team congratulates Anatoly Alexandrovich and wishes him further fruitful work for the development of the Geophysical Center!

December 17, 2025. On December 10, 2025, a delegation from the Geophysical Center of RAS participated in an International Scientific Session and Celebrations held in honor of the 95th Anniversary of the Geological Institute of RAS.

December 11, 2025. On December 11, 2025, the 94th meeting of the Scientific Council of the GC RAS was held.

December 3, 2025. Daniel Veis, an engineer at the Laboratory of Geoinformatics and the Arctic Big Data at the Geophysical Center RAS, participated in the 5th Young Scientists Congress.

December 3, 2025. At the Scientific Seminar of the GC RAS, Tatyana Nikolaeva, a leading engineer at the LUKOIL Engineering LLC, presented a report on a study concerning the potential extraction of hydrocarbons from the low-permeable oil-bearing Upper Jurassic Formation in Western Siberia using thermal methods.
