October 8, 2019. GC RAS obtained the first patent for a "Digital Demonstration Device" in its history. The authors of the patent are Academician A. D. Gvishiani, Chief Scientist, A. I. Rybkina, Deputy Director for Development, Head of the laboratory of innovative projects, researcher O. O. Samokhina and engineer A. G. Peshkov.

The patent provides legal protection for a digital demonstration device with a spherical projection screen. Researchers of GC RAS developed it to visualize (with the ability to control) scientific data in a spherical projection. The patented technical solution is to eliminate light loss due to the use of a cylindrical adapter in the lens system of the device.
