November 28, 2019. GC RAS has digitized two popular scientific films, which were stored in the archive. The films were made with the assistance of the Interdepartmental Geophysical Committee of the USSR Academy of Sciences. The main consultants for the films were: Director of the Interdepartmental Geophysical Committee, Corresponding Member of the USSR Academy of Sciences Vladimir Belousov and Scientific Secretary, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Valeria Alekseevna Troitskaya.

"We and the Sun" produced by the Central Studio of Popular and Educational Films (Tsentrnauchfilm) in 1966.

“Expedition to East Africa” produced by the Central Studio of Popular Scientific and Educational Films (Association of Geographical Films) (Centernaufilm) in 1970. Films are available in the Media/Video section of the GC RAS website.

November 13, 2024. On November 13, 2024, during a joint Scientific Seminar of the GC RAS and the Scientific Council of RAS for the Studies of the Arctic and Antarctic, PhD Zhanna Vasilyeva made a report "On the Use of Satellite Data in Developing Tools for Regulating Access to Arctic Waters".

November 11, 2024. On November 11, 2024, Scientific Secretary of GC RAS PhD Roman Krasnoperov delivered a lecture at Lomonosov Moscow State University on "Fundamentals of Satellite Remote Sensing and Mapping of the Earth, Moon, and Planets of the Solar System".

November 11, 2024. On November 6–7, 2024, young scientists of the GC RAS took part in the Scientific Conference of Young Scientists and Graduate Students of the IPE RAS 2024.

November 8, 2024. The Presidium of RAS approved the new composition of the Scientific Council of RAS for the Studies of the Arctic and Antarctic. It included scientists of the Geophysical Center RAS.
