May 12, 2020. Researchers of the laboratory of innovative projects of GC RAS G.S. Boyarshinov and S. V. Presnyakov created ORBUSweb (http://sph-gcras-ru.test.gcras.ru), a system of interactive spherical data visualizations on the web. A wide range of data on the planets of the solar system, as well as on the processes and phenomena associated with them, is available on the presentation web page at the user's choice. In addition, the current data set, which is updated daily, includes visualization of the dynamics of the distribution of coronavirus infection COVID-19 in the perspective of “date - country (region) - number of infected/dead/ recovered”.

The data sources were Johns Hopkins University, to show the situation in the countries of the world, as well as Rospotrebnadzor and an official website of the Government of the Russian Federation on the coronavirus StopCoronaVirusRF, to provide statistics and data on Russia.

April 19, 2024. The International Conference "Data Science, Geoinformatics and Systems Analysis in Geosciences" will be held on September 25-27, 2024 in Suzdal (Vladimir Oblast). The event is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Geophysical Center of RAS and the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

April 10, 2024. The RSF supported the project of the GC RAS "Determination of the Spatial and Temporal Structure of the Earth's Magnetic Field in the Vicinity of Geomagnetic Observatories of the Russian Federation with the Use of UAVs".

April 5, 2024. Deputy Director for Science of the GC RAS D.Sc. Boris Dzeboev took part in the V. P. Fyodorov Arctic Seminar.

March 27, 2024. On March 27, 2024, at the Scientific Seminar of the GC RAS, Research Scientist of the Schmidt Institute of Physics of the Earth of RAS Yevgeny Fattakhov presented his report "Development of Methods for Long-term Series Analysis of Geodeformation Observations in Seismically Active and Oil and Gas Bearing Regions" (based on his PhD thesis).
