December 26, 2020. Director of GC RAS, Corresponding Member of RAS Anatoly Soloviev made a report “On the results of the activities of GC RAS in 2020”. In the course of his speech, Anatoly Aleksandrovich Soloviev summed up the results of the scientific activities of GC RAS and spoke about the features of each individual project (both completed and ongoing). Anatoly Aleksandrovich noted that despite all the difficulties that arose in the outgoing 2020, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the team successfully coped with all the tasks set. GC RAS researchers participated in many conferences throughout the country, including in person. Several field expeditions were conducted: in the Arkhangelsk region, Krasnodar region, Armenia, etc. At the same time, all the necessary antiviral safety measures were strictly observed at all events. Anatoly Aleksandrovich paid special attention to personnel work. The average age of the researchers dropped by a year instead of the expected growth. The director noted the high inflow of young specialists and wished all new employees success in their professional activities.

Anatoly Soloviev also announced the main indicators of the publication activity of GC RAS. The publications in journals with a high impact factor deserve special attention. This year, the center has successfully fulfilled the publication plan, and for some indicators the values were significantly higher than planned. Anatoly Aleksandrovich once again thanked all the staff of the center for the work done and congratulated everyone on the coming New Year. In the new year, Anatoly Aleksandrovich wished the researchers of GC RAS success, endurance and fortitude, and also expressed confidence that they will overcome all the challenges facing them and keep the high standard of the quality of their work in the new year 2021.
