Leading researcher of the laboratory of geoinformatics and geomagnetic research of GC RAS, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Sergei Anatolyevich Lebedev was awarded the jubilee medal of the Maikop State Technological University «For his contribution to the development of the university».

The medal is awarded to scientists for their personal contribution to the development and improvement of the university’s activities in the educational and teaching-methodological spheres, for the development of the material and technical base, as well as for significant contributions in the field of scientific research.

November 13, 2024. On November 13, 2024, during a joint Scientific Seminar of the GC RAS and the Scientific Council of RAS for the Studies of the Arctic and Antarctic, PhD Zhanna Vasilyeva made a report "On the Use of Satellite Data in Developing Tools for Regulating Access to Arctic Waters".

November 11, 2024. On November 11, 2024, Scientific Secretary of GC RAS PhD Roman Krasnoperov delivered a lecture at Lomonosov Moscow State University on "Fundamentals of Satellite Remote Sensing and Mapping of the Earth, Moon, and Planets of the Solar System".

November 11, 2024. On November 6–7, 2024, young scientists of the GC RAS took part in the Scientific Conference of Young Scientists and Graduate Students of the IPE RAS 2024.

November 8, 2024. The Presidium of RAS approved the new composition of the Scientific Council of RAS for the Studies of the Arctic and Antarctic. It included scientists of the Geophysical Center RAS.
