October 11, 2023. On October 11, 2023, the scientists of the Geophysical Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences held a videoconference on the topic «About the Earth in understandable terms» within the framework of the Science 0+ Festival. The lectures were illustrated using the ORBUS-PRO multimedia complex.
- Leading Engineer V. V. Dyakov opened the event with an introductory speech about the multimedia complex and announced the lecture program.
- In the lecture «The Earth's Magnetic Field», Junior Researcher S. A. Gvozdik talked about the sources of the field, its physical characteristics and various components;
- In the report «Moon Anomalies», Engineer O. O. Shevaldysheva talked about gravity, magnetic and albedo anomalies of the Moon and their interrelations.
- In his lecture «The Solar System», Leading Researcher, Scientific Secretary, Ph.D. R. I. Krasnoperov presented interesting facts about planets and satellites.
- In the lecture «First things first», Researcher S. V. Presnyakov explained the basics of the physics of optics, specific features of lenses, talked about how a lens works and how the ORBUS-PRO multimedia complex creates a spherical image.
