Head of the Department of Geomorphology and Paleogeography of the Geographical Faculty of Moscow State University, Professor and Doctor of Geographical Sciences Andrey Vladimirovich Bredikhin presented the report «Lineaments and Modern Movements of the Earth's Crust: Geomorphological Aspect».

Co-authors: Senior Research Fellow of the Department of Geomorphology and Paleogeography of the Geographical Faculty of Moscow State University, Candidate of Geographical Sciences Sergey Vladimirovich Kharchenko and Associate Professor of the Department of Geomorphology and Paleography of the Geographical Faculty of Moscow State University, Candidate of Geographical Sciences Yuri Rostislavovich Belyaev.

The report examined the history of views on the term «lineaments», the use of lineament analysis in modern geology and geomorphology, the methodological limitations of morphostructural analysis of linear geomorphological objects, and some methods of using Earth remote sensing materials to solve issues of detecting relief deformations in lineament zones as a result of seismic events.
