December 19, 2023. On December 19, 2023, at the meeting of the Scientific Council, candidates for the position of director of the institution were nominated. According to the results of the secret election, the Scientific Council recommended nominating Corresponding Member of RAS D.Sc. A. A. Soloviev, D.Sc. B. A. Dzeboev, and Corresponding Member of RAS D.Sc. V. N. Tatarinov.

A. A. Soloviev graduated from Moscow Steel and Alloy Institute with a degree in applied mathematics. In 2005, he defended his thesis, in 2014 – his doctoral thesis, both at the Schmidt Institute of Physics of the Earth of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IFZ RAS). Since 1999, he has been an employee of the IFZ RAS, from engineer to chief research fellow. Since 2005, he has been an employee of the GC RAS. Since 2010, he has headed the Laboratory of Geoinformatics and Geomagnetic Studies of the GC RAS. In 2014–2018, he worked as Deputy Director for Science, since 2018, as Director of the GC RAS. A. A. Soloviev was elected Professor of RAS in 2015 and Corresponding Member of RAS in 2016 (the Department of Earth Sciences of RAS). The list of publications includes more than 100 articles in journals indexed in the Web of Science and Scopus, more than 150 abstracts of conference reports, and several dozen certificates of state registration of intellectual property. His research interests include geoinformatics, pattern recognition, geophysical observations, geomagnetism, solar-terrestrial physics, and fuzzy sets.

D.Sc. B. A. Dzeboev
B. A. Dzeboev graduated from the Mathematics Department of the North Ossetian State University after K. L. Khetagurov. He defended his thesis in 2014 and his doctoral thesis in 2021. Since 2013, he has been working at the GC RAS, currently as Deputy Director for Science, Head of the Laboratory of Geophysical Data, and chief research fellow. Since 2007, he has been working at the Geophysical Institute of the Vladikavkaz Scientific Center RAS, currently a senior researcher (part-time). He is a member of the RAS Scientific Council for the Study of the Arctic and Antarctic, deputy editor-in-chief of the Russian Journal of Earth Sciences, and a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Volcanology and Seismology. His list of scientific publications includes more than 45 articles in domestic and foreign journals and 14 certificates of state registration of intellectual property. He is a laureate of the Award of the Head of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania in Science and Technology for young scientists (2010).

V. N. Tatarinov graduated in 1980 from the Sergo Ordzhonikidze Russian State University for Geological Prospecting with a degree in geophysical methods of prospecting and exploration of minerals. He defended his thesis in 1993 and his doctoral thesis in 2007. In 1980–1993, he worked at the Federal State Unitary Enterprise VNIPIpromtechnologies. Since 1993, he has been an employee of the GC RAS. He is currently a chief research fellow, and the head of the Laboratory of Geodynamics. Since 2004, he has been an employee of the IFZ RAS (part-time). Since 2022, he has been a corresponding member of the RAS. He is the author of 178 scientific papers, including 2 monographs, 4 textbooks, 14 inventor's certificates, and 4 regulatory documents on nuclear and radiation safety.
