April 11, 2024. The ORBUS Multimedia Hardware-Software Complex, developed by scientists of the Geophysical Center of RAS, became part of the exhibition of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia. It can be found at the Russia Expo at VDNKh (57th pavilion, 2nd floor, "Decade of Science and Technology" exposition, "Faces of Science. Education of the Future" hall).
The ORBUS Multimedia Complex is a visualization device using a reverse projection system. It allows you to demonstrate planetary phenomena and global geodynamic natural and anthropogenic processes (weather, earthquakes, transport networks, etc.). It can employ online data. The complex is also able to visualize some other model data that are suitable for mapping on a spherical surface, for example, a planetary atomic model or graph models.
