April 12, 2024. On April 12, 2024, the election of director took place at the General Meeting of employees of the Geophysical Center of RAS.

Three candidates were nominated for the position: Corresponding Member of RAS D.Sc. Anatoly Soloviev, Corresponding Member of RAS D.Sc. Viktor Tatarinov, and D.Sc. Boris Dzeboev.

The meeting was opened by the Chairman of the Scientific Council, Chief Scientist of the GC RAS, Academician of RAS Alexey Gvishiani. The candidates presented their election programs and answered questions from the staff.

78 employees out of 98 took part in the voting. The voter turnout was 79.5%. Anatoly Soloviev received 82% of the votes and was elected the director. The elections will be followed by an approval procedure implemented by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

The staff of the GC RAS congratulates Anatoly Soloviev and wishes him further fruitful work for the benefit of the institute.
