April 26, 2024. On April 26, 2024, Principal Research Scientist of the Geophysical Center of RAS, D.Sc. Vladimir Kaftan took part in the II All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "GEOFORUM. NIZHNY NOVGOROD".

Vladimir Ivanovich presented the report "The Impact of the Catastrophic Earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş (Turkey, February 2023) on the Speed of Movement of GNSS Stations in the Caucasus Region".

The II All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation "GEOFORUM. NIZHNY NOVGOROD" was held on April 25–26, 2024. There were considered the mechanisms of modernization, innovative and technological development, as well as cooperation between enterprises and organizations of Russia and the CIS member states in geodesy, geoinformatics, and geospatial data. The organizers were the Russian Society of Geodesy, Cartography, and Land Management, Nizhny Novgorod State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, State University of Land Use Planning, and others.
