October 31, 2024. On October 30, 2024, Deputy Director for Science of the GC RAS, Chief of the Laboratory of Geoinformatics and the Arctic Big Data D.Sc. Boris Dzeboev took part in the strategic session "Youth Laboratories: Uniting to Solve the Issues of the Region and the Country". The participants discussed the development of youth laboratories in our country.

In 2024, the GC RAS was among the organizations chosen for the national project "Science and Universities". The topic of scientific research of the youth laboratory, created within the framework of the project, was the application of the theory and practice of Big Data in Arctic research.

November 13, 2024. On November 13, 2024, during a joint Scientific Seminar of the GC RAS and the Scientific Council of RAS for the Studies of the Arctic and Antarctic, PhD Zhanna Vasilyeva made a report "On the Use of Satellite Data in Developing Tools for Regulating Access to Arctic Waters".

November 11, 2024. On November 11, 2024, Scientific Secretary of GC RAS PhD Roman Krasnoperov delivered a lecture at Lomonosov Moscow State University on "Fundamentals of Satellite Remote Sensing and Mapping of the Earth, Moon, and Planets of the Solar System".

November 11, 2024. On November 6–7, 2024, young scientists of the GC RAS took part in the Scientific Conference of Young Scientists and Graduate Students of the IPE RAS 2024.

November 8, 2024. The Presidium of RAS approved the new composition of the Scientific Council of RAS for the Studies of the Arctic and Antarctic. It included scientists of the Geophysical Center RAS.
