October 10, 2024. On October 10, 2024, the General Meeting of GC RAS Scientists was held. There was elected a new composition of the Scientific Council for a period of 5 years in connection with the approval of Corresponding Member of RAS Anatoly Soloviev as director.

Within the framework of the meeting, an award ceremony was held on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of RAS and the 70th anniversary of the GC RAS. The awards of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation were presented: to Principal Research Scientist D.Sc. Sergey Lebedev – the medal "For Impeccable Work and Distinction"; to Research Scientist Tatyana Tatarinova and Chief Accountant Olga Semenova – the Gratitude of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
For many years of conscientious work for the benefit of national science, conducting fundamental and applied scientific research, and in connection with the 70th anniversary of the founding of the GC RAS, the Honorary Diploma of RAS was awarded to the Principal Research Scientist, Professor, D.Sc. Vladislav Morozov.
For the development of Russian science, long-term conscientious work, in connection with the 300th anniversary of RAS and the 70th anniversary of the GC RAS, Academician of RAS Alexey Gvishiani and Corresponding Member of RAS Anatoly Soloviev presented the Gratitude of the Department of Earth Sciences RAS to Senior Research Scientist PhD Mikhail Dobrovolsky, Senior Research Scientist Lyudmila Zabarinskaya, and Research Scientist Elena Firsova.
