October 7, 2024. On October 4, 2024, a meeting of the world's leading scientists in the field of Arctic exploration was held at the V. I. Albanov Polar Explorers Museum (the city of Ufa).

The meeting was attended by Chief Scientist of the GC RAS Academician of RAS Alexey Gvishiani, the chairman of the Scientific Council of RAS for the Studies of the Arctic and Antarctic, and Director of the GC RAS Corresponding Member of RAS Anatoly Soloviev.

Academician of RAS Alexey Gvishiani emphasized that for the development of the country and the important Arctic region, first of all, people and qualified personnel are needed. The activities of the V. I. Albanov Polar Explorers Museum are aimed precisely at captivating the younger generation with the amazing heritage of the Arctic. The museum tells about polar explorers who made a mark on the history of the Northern Sea Route, about technological innovations, provides career guidance, and sets a vector for further development.
