February 21, 2025. On February 21, 2025, the 90th meeting of the Scientific Council of the GC RAS was held. According to the results of the meeting and secret ballot of the members of the Scientific Council of the GC RAS, there were nominated candidates for membership of RAS from the Department of Earth Sciences RAS.

Chief Human Resources Officer Vera Dasaeva and Senior Research Scientist, PhD Alexey Kudashin were awarded with commendations of the Department of Earth Sciences RAS for their services to the development of national science, many years of conscientious work, in connection with the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the 70th anniversary of the GC RAS.

On March 26, 2025, during the Scientific Seminar of the GC RAS, Junior Research Scientist Ivan Lisenkov made the report "Multiparametric Analysis of the Spatial Distribution of Geological and Geophysical Parameters Using Machine Learning Methods and Optimization of Photographic Images".

March 24, 2025. On March 21, 2025, Chief Scientist of the GC RAS, Academician of RAS Alexey Gvishiani and Director of the GC RAS Corresponding Member of RAS Anatoly Soloviev took part in a series of events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Academician of RAS Mikhail Epov.

March 4, 2025. On March 3, 2025, the Geological Institute RAS hosted a meeting of the Tectonic Colloquium, at which Director of the Geophysical Center RAS, Corresponding Member of RAS Anatoly Soloviev presented the report "Some Results in Geoinformatics and Big Data in the Earth Sciences".

February 27, 2025. From February 12 to February 14, 2025, scientists of the Geophysical Center RAS paid a working visit to the South African National Space Agency (SANSA) in Hermanus, South Africa.
