April 4, 2025. On April 3, 2025, Anatoly Soloviev, Director of the Geophysical Center RAS, Corresponding Member of RAS, acted as an official opponent in the defense of the thesis for the degree of Doctor of Sciences in Physics and Mathematics by Alexey Dmitriev (Lomonosov Moscow State University Skobeltsyn Institute of Nuclear Physics) on the topic "Anomalous Phenomena in the Field of Interaction of the Solar Wind with the Earth's Daytime Magnetosphere at Low Latitudes", specialty 1.3.1. Space physics, astronomy.

The defense took place at the Sternberg Astronomical Institute on the basis of the MSU Dissertation Council 013.1 (the chairman is Corresponding Member of RAS Konstantin Postnov).

According to the results of the voting, the present members of the dissertation council (27 persons) unanimously decided to award Alexey Dmitriev the degree of Doctor of Sciences in Physics and Mathematics in the specialty 1.3.1. Space physics, astronomy.
