April 25, 2025. On April 23, 2025, Principal Research Scientist of the GC RAS, D.Sc. Yuliana Rostovtseva delivered a lecture on "The Main Structural Features of Sediments of Lowland River Systems" as part of a scientific seminar for specialists of LUKOIL-Engineering LLC.

The lecture was devoted to structural features of modern and ancient sediments of lowland rivers. The genetic features of sediments of the main elements of meandering rivers were considered, as well as methods of lithological and facies analysis of alluvial strata. The results of studying river sediments using lithological methods were shown using the example of rocks of the Tyumen formation of the West Siberian Plate.
