May 12, 2025. As part of the activities of the scientific and educational center ”Geodynamics and Geoecology of Mineral Resources: Modelling, Prediction, and Monitoring”, scientists of the Geophysical Center RAS held the traditional spring workshop on the practical basics of using GNSS and UAV for students of the specialty "Mining and Geological Information Systems", MISIS University.
The program included practical and field training. Senior Research Scientist, PhD Roman Shevchuk spoke about the use of the Geoscan 101 and Geoscan 401 UAVs to perform aerial and aeromagnetic surveys. Research Scientist Alexander Manevich presented modern kits for GNSS measurements.
Future mining engineers and geologists actively participated in the workshop. There were discussed technical characteristics of the UAV, specifics of aeromagnetic surveys, the accuracy of GNSS measurements, and types of modern geodetic equipment.
