February 5, 2025. On February 5, 2025, the Scientific Seminar of the GC RAS was held online. PhD Alexey Vladimirovich Dmitriev, a scientist at the Lomonosov Moscow State University Skobeltsyn Institute of Nuclear Physics, presented a report on "Anomalous Phenomena in the Field of Interaction of the Solar Wind with the Earth's Daytime Magnetosphere at Low Latitudes" (based on his doctoral thesis).

The area of interaction of the Earth's daytime magnetosphere with the solar wind is involved in the transport of solar wind energy into the Earth's magnetosphere and the transformation of interplanetary disturbances into magnetospheric disturbances. The purpose of the thesis is to study and physically interpret anomalies in the geometry and dynamics of the area that cannot be described by existing models. For this purpose, new experimental data have been used and original techniques have been developed, which makes it possible to find and analyze new and anomalous phenomena.
