October 24, 2025. Academician of RAS Alexey Gvishani, the Chief Scientist at the GC RAS and a member of the Scientific Council of the Russian Geographical Society (RGS), participated in the 17th Congress of the RGS.

The event was held on October 22–23, in Moscow at the State Kremlin Palace. Its main goal was the election of the governing bodies of the RGS. Over the two days, delegates summarized the work for five years and discussed strategic development vectors until 2030, alongside priority areas of activity until 2035. Scientists, educators, public figures, and activists for their significant contributions to the development of the RGS and geographical science were awarded state awards and awards of the Russian Geographical Society.

October 24, 2025. On October 22, 2025, scientists of the GC RAS delivered presentations at the IV All-Russian Scientific Conference "Modern Methods of Seismic Hazard Assessment and Earthquake Forecasting".

October 23, 2025 On October 22, 2025, at a Scientific Seminar of the GC RAS, Alexey Shklyaruk, a postgraduate student of the Faculty of Geology at Lomonosov Moscow State University and researcher at the Fedorov Institute of Applied Geophysics, presented the report "Application of Neural Networks in the Analysis of Anomalous Gravitational and Magnetic Fields" (based on the materials of his thesis).

October 17, 2025. Grigory Boyarshinov, a research scientist at the GC RAS, participated in the GraphiCon 2025 Conference.
