Academician of RAS Valery Bondur and Corresponding Member of RAS Anatoly Soloviev, Director of the Geophysical Center RAS, were received by Academician of RAS Vladimir Semenov, Director of the A. M. Obukhov Institute of Atmospheric Physics of RAS, and Station Chief Kamil Arabov. The visitors congratulated their colleagues on the I70th anniversary of the Institute of Atmospheric Physics and discussed the potential for using the station’s infrastructure for joint scientific research and thematic meetings.
The station is located on the Shatjatmaz plateau, 30 km from Kislovodsk at an altitude of 2,070 meters above sea level. Favorable conditions allow for the use of almost all methods for direct and remote measurements of the content of gaseous and aerosol impurities in the atmosphere.
