December 17, 2018. Chief Scientist of GC RAS Academician A. D. Gvishiani delivered a lecture at MISiS University "System Analysis and Monitoring of Natural Disasters" in a special project of the Center for the Development and Promotion of Youth Science of "MISiS" titled the "Christmas Lectures".

The Christmas lectures at MISIS are aimed at the popularization of science. Leading scientists speak there about the latest achievements and trends of modern science.

November 13, 2024. On November 13, 2024, during a joint Scientific Seminar of the GC RAS and the Scientific Council of RAS for the Studies of the Arctic and Antarctic, PhD Zhanna Vasilyeva made a report "On the Use of Satellite Data in Developing Tools for Regulating Access to Arctic Waters".

November 11, 2024. On November 11, 2024, Scientific Secretary of GC RAS PhD Roman Krasnoperov delivered a lecture at Lomonosov Moscow State University on "Fundamentals of Satellite Remote Sensing and Mapping of the Earth, Moon, and Planets of the Solar System".

November 11, 2024. On November 6–7, 2024, young scientists of the GC RAS took part in the Scientific Conference of Young Scientists and Graduate Students of the IPE RAS 2024.

November 8, 2024. The Presidium of RAS approved the new composition of the Scientific Council of RAS for the Studies of the Arctic and Antarctic. It included scientists of the Geophysical Center RAS.
