October 15, 2024. On September 28–29, 2024, at the Borok Geophysical Observatory of the Schmidt Institute of Physics of the Earth RAS (the IPE RAS) in Yaroslavl Oblast, a reconciliation of absolute observatory magnetometers took place, organized by the Geophysical Center RAS and the IPE RAS. The main task was to assess systematic errors of magnetometers.

The participants performed measurements on all devices and preliminarily processed the results. The assesment of systematic errors of magnetometers will help to maintain the metrological unity of monitoring of the Earth's magnetic field by Russian observatories. It ensures the high-quality data in accordance with the INTERMAGNET standard.
