October 29, 2026. On October 5–7, 2026, scientists of the Laboratory of Geophysical Monitoring of the GC RAS participated in the conference "Current Problems of Geology, Geochemistry, and Geophysics of Oil and Gas". The event was held at the A. A. Trofimuk Institute of Petroleum Geology and Geophysics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Novosibirsk).
Chief of the Laboratory, PhD Dmitry Kudin presented a report titled "On the Possibility of Using a Vector POS-4 Overhauser Magnetometer for Magnetometric Support of Directional Drilling Technology" (co-author – Mikhail Nanov). Technician Mikhail Nanov presented a report titled "Study of Regional Features of Magnetic Disturbances in Planning Directional Drilling Operations" (co-author – Vyacheslav Katkov).
At the conference, leading specialists discussed current problems in the geology and geophysics of sedimentary and oil-and-gas-bearing basins, as well as the prospecting and exploration of hydrocarbon and mineral raw materials. As part of the event, an excursion to the "Evolution of the Earth" Scientific and Educational Center of Novosibirsk State University was also held.
