October 9, 2025. The Lithology Section of the Moscow Society of Naturalists and the Geophysical Center RAS will hold the conference "Exolit-2025" on November 13 and 14. It’s dedicated to the 220th anniversary of the foundation of the Moscow Society of Naturalists. The event will feature reports on the study of sedimentary rocks and modern research methods.

The Moscow Society of Naturalists is one of the oldest natural science societies in Russia, historically affiliated with Lomonosov Moscow State University. The Lithology Section organizes a discussion of the problems of modern lithology. The participants of the section develop new approaches to the study of sedimentary rocks, address the application of fundamental lithological knowledge in applied research, and much more.
