18 ноября 2025 г. On November 13 and 14, 2025, the Geophysical Center of RAS hosted the scientific conference "Exolith-2025", dedicated to the 220th anniversary of the Moscow Society of Naturalists.

The conference was organized by the Lithology Section of the Moscow Society of Naturalists in collaboration with the GC RAS.

The event was opened by Yuliana Rostovtseva, D.Sc., Chair of the Section and a principal research scientist at the GC RAS. A welcoming speech was delivered by Anatoly Soloviev, Corresponding Member of RAS, Director of the GC RAS. Participants were also greeted by Vitaly Kuznetsov, D.Sc., Professor, the Section's most senior member.

The conference brought together lithology specialists from various regions of our country. Numerous reports were presented, with scientists sharing results from their study of sedimentary rocks, discussing research methods, demonstrating new paleogeographic reconstructions, and addressing problems in petroleum lithology and other important scientific issues.
