December 3, 2025. The Scientific Seminar of the GC RAS was held online.

Tatyana Nikolaevna Nikolaeva, a leading engineer at the LUKOIL Engineering LLC, presented a report on a study concerning the potential extraction of hydrocarbons from the low-permeable oil-bearing Upper Jurassic Formation in Western Siberia using thermal methods.

The report addressed several key issues, including assessing the potential for extracting hydrocarbons from low-permeable kerogen-containing rocks (a prospective resource), identifying optimal technologies, developing a model based on experimental core research that reflects the formation's characteristics, performing hydrodynamic calculations for process optimization etc.
