February 12, 2026. On February 10, 2026, the Laverov Readings 2026 was held in Moscow, during which leading scientists discussed solutions to scientific problems in Arctic exploration.

The conference was organized by the Department of Earth Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences with the support of the Scientific Council of RAS for the Studies of the Arctic and Antarctic (SC RAS for SAA). A member of the Program Committee and one of the chairs of the meeting was Academician of RAS Alexey Gvishiani, the Chairman of the SC RAS for SAA, Chief Scientist of the GC RAS. Corresponding Member of RAS Anatoly Soloviev, a Member of the Bureau of the SC RAS for SAA, Director of the GC RAS, presented a report titled "Klimovskaya Geophysical Observatory in the Homeland of Academician Nikolay Laverov: Stages of Formation and Scientific Results."

D.Sc. Boris Dzeboev, Scientific Secretary of the SC RAS for SAA and Deputy Director for Science of the GC RAS, actively participated in the organization of the conference. The event was attended by Corresponding Member of RAS Viktor Tatarinov, Deputy Director for Science of the GC RAS, and other scientists from the Geophysical Center.

The Laverov Readings are a traditional conference that the Department of Earth Sciences RAS has been holding since 2017 in memory of the outstanding Soviet and Russian scientist and major statesman Nikolay Pavlovich Laverov, Academician of the USSR Academy of Sciences and RAS, and Vice-President of RAS.
