May 29, 2026. Scientists of the Geophysical Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences – Head of the Laboratory of Geophysical Monitoring, PhD Dmitry Kudin, Research Scientist Olga Samokhina, and Junior Research Scientist Olga Shevaldysheva – participated in the morning session of the Forum "Youth of Transport Science".

The forum is held as part of the RUT (MIIT) Science Week. The event brings together students, young researchers, lecturers, and representatives of the transport industry. This platform helps students present their scientific and applied developments, as well as learn about research directions relevant to the development of the transport complex.

As part of the forum's lecture series, PhD Dmitry Kudin delivered a lecture for students titled "Geophysical Fields and Their Significance for the Study of the Earth and for Applied Problems, Including Those of the Transport Industry". The lecture covered the main geophysical fields, methods of their study, and the influence of these fields on the functioning of the transport industry.

The GC RAS scientists participating in the morning session are also employees of the Research Laboratory of Geomagnetic Research at the RUT (MIIT) Situational Analytical Center "RUT CLIMATE". They told the students about the laboratory's work, its scientific directions, and opportunities for participation in research projects. Students were invited to collaborate with the laboratory and to undertake internships, where they can become acquainted with contemporary challenges in geomagnetic research and its applied significance for the transport industry.
