December 3, 2024. On 27–29 November, the annual Young Scientists Congress was held in the Sirius Federal Territory (Sochi). The event brought together young researchers and leading scientists from all over the world.

The Geophysical Center of RAS was represented by Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists (CYS), Research Scientist PhD Roman Shevchuk; a member of CYS, Research Scientist PhD Dastan Akmatov; Scientific Secretary of CYS, Junior Research Scientist Olga Shevaldysheva, and Engineer Ksenia Kochubey. The scientists attended lectures by representatives of the Russian Science Foundation and the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs and also took part in an open dialogue with the cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev.

The IV Young Scientists Congress is a key platform for discussing cutting-edge achievements and sharing the experience of young researchers. This year, the congress brought together more than 5000 participants. The program included panel discussions, roundtable discussions, and workshops in the most relevant areas: artificial intelligence, genetics, ecology, materials science, the energy industry, and others. The Congress has become not only a place to discuss current scientific issues but also a starting point for creating new partnerships, developing joint projects, and introducing promising technologies.
